1. The open is a Swiss system (9 rounds) Rapid Play tournament (20 minutes / player). The FIDE laws of chess, version 1st July 2009, are applied.
2. The first ranking is based on the total scores of the games. The second ranking is based on the sum of progressive scores, the third ranking is based on the Median Buchholz (the Buchholz score reduced by the two highest and the two lowest scores of the opponents)
3. Pairings and classifications are made per PC (system Swiss Chess version 8.72, August 2011 or later)
4. If several players have the same first ranking, the prizes are distributed according to the Hort system. At the end of the ranking, the total number of prizes is defined in such way that the last player receives at least 20 €.
5. Special prizes for categories and/or main prices can not be cumulated. Only the highest price is allocated.
6. The cup « Coupe de la Ville de Dudelange », is won by the team of the four best players of a chess club.
